Narges Mohammadi, a political prisoner and VP of Defenders of Human Rights Center, 
was admitted to a hospital because her medical condition worsened. Her doctors have warned on several occasions that the conditions of her imprisonment would be detrimental to her health. At her last meeting with her family, Mohammadi’s face appeared battered. She was sentenced to six years in prison because of her human rights activity.
