To Stop Executions in Iran Permanently, World Should Hold Mullahs To Account for 1988            Massacre

The Iranian regime executed a woman and three men on Tuesday. Previously, on August 5, Mostafa Salehiwho was detained in the 2018 major Iran protests was executed

The mullahs’ incessant executions and human rights violations will continue as long as they enjoy impunity over 1988 massacre of political prisoners.

Since taking power in 1979, the Iranian regime started oppressing any dissent voice. In other words, executions in Iran are a political tool for the mullahs to maintain their grasp on power.

The goal of the regime’s Judiciary, unlike other countries, is to further fortify the regime’s foundations. With hundreds of detained lawyers, such as Nasrin Sotudeh, there is no real “independent lawyers center” or a defense system.

Despite their peaceful activities, dozens of supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) were executed between 1979 and 1981.

Simultaneous with the beginning of organized resistance against the regime, the mullahs’ regime started a political purge to maintain its power and quell the restive Iranian society.

When the regime’s founder, Ruhollah Khomeini, was forced to accept ceasefire with Iraq, his real concern was over the Iranian resistance movements activities and a war-torn and restive society.

To pacify this society, he ordered the massacre of all political prisoners, mostly members and supporters of the MEK, who refused to succumb to the regime’s demands.

Thus, 30,000 innocent prisoners were executed only for preserving their ideas, despite all of them previously being tried by the regime’s Judiciary and sentenced to prison terms.

The so-called “death commissions,” who were responsible for sending prisoners to the gallows simply asked one question: What is your charge? If the person said “MEK” or “MEK supporter,” or the word “Mojahed” his or her fate was sealed.

Iranian Jewish MP: UAE, Israel Turned into Trump’s Election Campaign                   Headquarters

A representative of the Iranian Jewish community at the parliament Homayoun Sameh Yah condemned the recent normalization deal between the UAE and Israel, saying that the agreement was a gift to US President Donald Trump before presidential elections.

“The Jewish community of Iran condemns the normalization deal between the UAE and the hated Zionist regime and declares that this worn-out and ridiculous theater will not help the collapsing Zionist and UAE regimes,” Sameh Yah said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The treacherous scenario is merely a propaganda show to serve the two regimes’ master, Trump, to win the US presidential election as if the two regimes have practically turned into Trump’s headquarters for presidential campaign,” he added.

Sameh Yah said that another goal pursued by the deal is implementation of the Deal of the Century plot, sponsored by Trump.

Earlier on Wednesday, Iran’s Jewish community in a statement deplored the recent normalization deal between the UAE and Israel, warning Abu Dhabi that the betrayal will yield no result but disgrace for them.

“The Jewish community of Iran condemns the UAE’s shameful agreement to normalize ties with the fake and devil Zionist regime, mediated by the Great Satan (the US), and declares that this betrayal by the ignorant people who are nothing more than milking cows, as said by their masters, will double pressure and oppression on the oppressed people and will yield nothing but disgrace for the conspirators,” the statement said.

It added that the move will further make the freedom-seekers in the world to strengthen struggle against the Zionist regime and defense for the Palestinian people’s rights.

Iran State-Media Reflect Mullahs’ Utter Fear of Major Protests

In recent days, in reaction to series of international and domestic developments, the Iranian regime’s state-run media outlets are warning about looming uprising, reflect the regime’s utter fear.

These media outlets have reacted to the following issues:

  1. The coronavirus outbreakits rising death toll, and effect on the restive Iranian society.
  2. The regime’s deceptive economic plan, or so-called “economic relief,” which is nothing but selling oil to the people. And the subsequent decrease of Iran’s stock market rate.

COVID-19 outbreak

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Tuesday that over 90,700 people have lost their lives due to the novel coronavirus.

The regime’s cover-up and intentional inaction since the beginning of this pandemic, then forcing people back to work, have increased the death and infection rate.

Now fearing their mismanagement of the crisis would trigger a new series of the major Iran protests, like the one in November that rattled the regime’s foundations, some of the regime’s officials and state media are acknowledging some parts of this crisis and warning of its outcome.

In this regard, the state-run Setareh Sobh (Morning Star), quoting Reza Malekzadeh the regime’s Deputy Health Minister, wrote: The government wants to return the situation to normal by setting health protocols, but it is ignorant of the fact that 26 provinces of the country are currently red or on alert. At the same time, the medical staff and medical equipment are worn out and are not able to withstand the third wave of the outbreak that will come in autumn and winter. Holding mourning ceremonies and reopening schools and universities creates serious crises in spreading the virus. If these ceremonies and reopening occur, we will see the alarming outbreak of Coronavirus in the fall.”

The regime of Iran executed Mostafa Salehi on August 5 for his participation in the nationwide Iran protests in 2017-2018, despite international protests.

Five other detained protesters have also been sentenced to death, and they are currently in prison.

Protests erupted in over 200 cities across Iran in November 2019, in reaction to the increase of fuel price.

The Iranian regime started massacring protesters on the streets to crack down on these protests. And in an obvious massacre it killed over 1500 protesters.

Thousands of others were arrested and sent to prison, dozens were killed under torture, and thousands are still in prison under torture and threated to be executed. Execution

The mullahs’ regime has been clearly oppressing, executing, and torturing the Iranian people. Yet, it has never been seriously held to account in this regard.

The greatest crime of the Iranian regime within the last four decades was the massacre of summer of 1988. The regime’s then Supreme Leader, Ruhollah Khomeini, in a fatwa ordered the massacre of political prisoners. Based on this fatwa, over 30,000 political prisoners, who were mostly members and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), were massacred. The perpetrators and decision-makers of this massacre have currently occupied the highest posts in the mullahs’ regime, and the international community has never investigated this crime.Key among them is Ebrahim Raisi, the regime’s current judiciary chief. In 1988, he was Tehran’s Deputy Prosecutor and a key member of Tehran’s “Death Commission,” a trio of regime officials who carried out minutes-long trials for the prisoners being sent to the gallows. Alireza Avaie, a member of the Death Committee in Khuzestan, is Justice Minister under current regime President Hassan Rouhani. His two predecessors, who he previous eight years.

“The point of the spear in the struggle for Iranian freedom are the residents of Ashraf 3 who spend their every waking hour thinking about how to maneuver the Iranian people into a new, prosperous, and free future,” said former U.S. Senator Robert Torricelli during his speech at the Free Iran Global Summit 2020, held online at Ashraf 3, in connection to 30,000 locations in 102 countries.

Ashraf 3 is the home of 3000 members of Iran’s main opposition movement, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), in Albania.

It has become a source of hope and inspiration for thousands of Iranians, protesting in the streets across Iran chanting: “No Shah, No Sheikh (mullahs),” “Down with the principle of velayat-e faqih,” “Death to Khamenei,” and “Death to Rouhani,”  and “For 40 years we shed bloodied tears, enough is enough, we’ll take a stand.”

Regarding the powder-keg situation of the Iranian society, Senator Torricelli said every signal from every corner is that the last chapter of the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom is now being written.

“In every struggle, we look for milestones. The evidence is overwhelming. It is sometimes captured in single events. You can hear in cities and towns all across Iran today a common message.

Reformers, hard liners, the game is up or simply, the Shah, the mullahs, dictators all, give us our country back. The people are speaking to us. As in the past we had to speak to them, now the voice is theirs across the country,” Senator Torricelli said.

From December 2017 to January 2020, the world witnessed five nationwide uprisings in Iran that underscored the people’s blazing readiness to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.

US sanctions aggression escalates with raid on Iranian petroleum tankers

US authorities have seized Iranian oil from four tankers that were en route to Venezuela, the first action of its kind, and the latest escalation of American-led sanctions pressure on maritime trade.

The Department of Justice announced on August 14 it had confiscated more than 1.1 million barrels of fuel it says was being shipped to Venezuela by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – an elite military unit in Iran that is designated as a terrorist organisation by the US government.

The raid is the latest in a series of US sanctions efforts linked to maritime trade – a trend that has accelerated since the publication of a landmark advisory in May by the country’s sanctions regulator – and the government says that policy is starting to bear fruit.

“We are seeing more and more global shipping fleets avoiding the Iran-Venezuela trade due to our sanctions implementation and enforcement efforts,” says Morgan Ortagus, a spokesperson for the US State Department. escalates

“The United States remains committed to our maximum pressure campaigns against the Iranian and Maduro regimes.”

Though Venezuela sits on vast oil reserves, it no longer has any functioning refineries and so has become reliant on importing petroleum. In Iran, whose oil exports are subject to the US’ fearsome sanctions regime, it has a willing seller.

Following the recent bilateral talks with Iran concerning compensation for the victims of Flight PS752 downed in February by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says that Ukraine will not make any compromise that will humiliate the victims of the tragedy or fail to satisfy their relatives’ demands.

Kuleba made the remarks during an interview with Ukraine’s National Radio on Friday.

“We will always remember the grief of this tragedy but we can turn the page in Kiev-Tehran relations if justice is served,” Kuleba said. He also maintained that compensation for the victims can only be negotiated once all details about the incident are clarified.

On January 8, 2020, the IRGC fired two missiles at the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 shortly after it took off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport. All 176 passengers onboard the plane were killed in the crash. Iran did not admit that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps was responsible for the deadly attack until three days after the crash. On Saturday, Iranian ambassador to Kiev Manouchehr Moradi responded to a tweet by Radio Farda reporter Anna Rajskaya quoting Kuleba’s statement about Ukraine’s stance, Moradi tweeted that, following “constructive and fruitful negotiations” in Kiev, any compromise on compensation will adhere to international regulations. The compromise will be “according to commitments of conventions” of which Iran is a member, he said. In another tweet in Persian, Moradi wrote, “Iran will doubtlessly act with respect to the victims and their families, according to the conventions of which it is a member.”

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that Abu Dhabi agreed to normalize relations with Tel Aviv, with the United Arab Emirates becoming just the third Arab nation after Egypt and Jordan to do so since the late 1970s. Other Gulf nations, including Bahrain and Oman, may pen similar agreements with Israel in the near future.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement condemning the UAE-Israeli peace agreement, warning that it will have “dangerous” consequences for both parties if implemented.

“The disgraceful agreement to normalize relations between the UAE and the fake Zionist regime, which was made public by the design and leadership of the terrorist and inhumane government of the United States, is one of the greatest historical betrayals of the Palestinian cause which inflicted a poisonous dagger on the body of the Islamic [World],” the statement, cited by SepahNews, notes.

Blasting the agreement as a “strategic stupidity and miscalculation,” the IRGC warned that it will only serve to “accelerate the destruction” of Israel.

The IRGC also urged Abu Dhabi’s rulers, whom it designates as occupiers of a “palace made of glass,” to reconsider their decision, and warned that otherwise, “sooner or later the rulers of the UAE must wait for a decisive response from the people of this country to the historical humiliation caused by the stupidity of their leaders.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has condemned a recent deal aimed at normalization of relations between the Israeli regime and the United Arab Emirates, saying it is a betrayal to the Islamic Ummah.

In a statement on Saturday, IRGC termed the new deal as a historical folly and a stab on the back of the Muslim World, stressing that a dangerous future awaits the supporter of this deal.

“The shameful agreement to normalize relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Zionist regime, which has been designed by the leadership of the terrorist and inhumane regime of the United States, is one of the biggest historical betrayals against the ideals of Jerusalem al-Quds, and a poisonous dagger on the Islamic Ummah, especially the resistance movement and the oppressed nation of Palestine.”

“This move will not fulfill the Zionists’ interests, but by nullifying the dream of a new Middle East, it will hold a dangerous future for the United States and its supporters,” it stressed.

The statement added, “This treacherous act which pursues multiple goals, including the legitimization of the fake Zionist regime, weakening the Palestinian Resistance Front, forgetting the issue of Jerusalem al-Quds and Palestine, and paving the way for the implementation of the ‘Deal of the Century’ and the ‘New Middle East’, not only will bear no achievement for the American-Zionist-Saudi triangle, but it will also accelerate the destruction of the murderous Zionist regime.”
