Iran briefing- In the most recent confrontations against Iran’s nuclear deal with the 3+3countries by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its led forces in the Iranian parliament,204members ofthe Representativesissued astatement tothe major-general Hasan Firoozabadi, thechief of Staff of the Armed Forces, demanded for holding the missile exercises.

People’s representatives in the “House of Public”, (parliament),issued a letter stating that ” Based on the president’s emphasis, the statement of the Ministryof Foreign Affairs andalso thenegotiator’s remarks, the factthat” theresolutionis notlegally binding” should benoticed seriously and like always show the powerand authority ofthe armed forcesto everyone so that the other dissidents’ concerns would be practically removed.” At the end of this statement they also requested”to execute the predicted and adopted Missile exercise by the Revolutionary Guard andthe Ministry of Defense on time.” The fact that the representatives issued this statement while Iran’s government is getting ready to make the nuclear deal in order to gain other countries trust, is nothing butcompassionforthe continuity ofinspectionreportsbymilitary andlawbackgroundin order to continue the interferingin the affairs ofother countries. missile exercise  missile exercise  missile exercise missile exercise

In June, the representatives adopted a plan with 213 votes, based on its secondbylawof Article three, indicating that the foreign minister is required to report the implement of the agreement to the Parliament every 6 months, andNational Security Committee of Parliament, have to provide a report on the enforcement of agreements to the Members of Parliament every 6 months. Recently, after less than two months, the members of Parliament have asked the government to give the agreement as a bill to the parliament in order to be reviewed, as well as that they said thatany voluntary act on beginning temporary, permanent or obligatory implementation is not “legal basis” prior to the approval by Parliament and the Guardian Council confirmation. In fact, after the speech of “Ahmad Jannati”, the Secretary of the Guardian Council of the Islamic Republic in Tehran, on Friday Prayers sermons, the representatives who fifty days ago had approved the “legislation” referred their case to the Supreme National Security Council: “We must respect the decisions of the Supreme National Security Council.”, now they are trying to stay in the remaining opportunity until starting the implementation in order to make obstructions on the process of its implementation by the government. He had said: “In my opinion, this is the kind of agreement that should be approved in the parliament, in this way the government should provide the legislation.”

In the early days of the agreement, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced in the Eid al-Fitr sermon: “With this negotiation and provided text, there will not be any changes in our policy against the U.S. arrogant state, the U.S.’s policies in the region is totally different from the Islamic Republic policies. “He explicitly supported the” Hezbollah in Lebanon ” and continued:” The U.S. accuses the Hezbollah in Lebanon of terrorism, this is highly injustice, In contrast, the Israel’s rulers who murder the kids are supported by the state, so how to negotiate and reach an agreement with this kind of state? “These Threatening words in the first days were interpreted by the political and foreign experts as “domestic consumption for the fans”, however it should not be forgotten his previous statements and obstructions about the negotiations after the Saad Abad agreement in 2003 and also the last 12 years. In fact, the most serious threat is about the non-implementation of the agreement and the possibility of war in the region by Israel and the U.S. Republicans; in contrast the Leader and the subordinate armies also have the sufficient capacity to disturb the peace.

The Iranian people have touched the effects and the consequence of the sanctions that is going to be removed step by step by the implementation of the agreement, deeply with their flesh and blood. There were not least victims of this nuclear mutiny in Iran; the patients with specific disease, suffered from the lack of medicines due to the dedication of drug currency to luxury items such as luxury cars imported into the country in order to nullify the sanctions to the country and have the benefit of the sanctions. The sanction of the brake linings for vehicles that have dual applications must be mentioned as the smallest impacts and followed by noticing the accidents in Iran’s roads. It is strange thatin this conditions that the people are waiting to feel the step by step effects of the sanction removal on their life, thepolicy of hostility to the world is strongly continued by the leader, the military and the subordinated representatives.

The International sanctions against the Quds Force and Khatam Camp will not be delisted

khatamIran Briefing- After more than two weeks since signing the nuclear agreement, more details of this agreement with Iran is releasing, details which indicates that 90 identified individuals and legal entities affiliated to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, have been removed from the sanction list. Reuter’s news agency reported an analysis of the different aspects of this agreement in the latest survey on the nuclear deal. According to the report, the overseas branches of Iranian Revolutionary Guard, “Quds Force”, and also“Khatam Al-anbiya Camp “as the military arm of this powerful economic institution, will remain in the list of international sanctions.

At the time of issuance of the sanction, in related news the role of the IRGC individuals and entities removed from the sanction list on the progress of Iran’s nuclear program and military activities were mentioned. However it is still unclear that based on which advantages Western countries willing to accept them out of the sanction list.  Reuters also has reported about the benefits of lifting the sanctions for the businesses owned or affiliated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The report starts with the point of the Israel and the United States’ dissatisfaction with the benefits for quasi-governmental companies and institutions belonging to the military, but Iran has embraced this event due to absorbing foreign investments. This report knows the Revolutionary Guard’s companies as the “escort” of many attractive industries of Iran. Indeed there has been a hidden delight in the remarks of opponents of nuclear agreement. The opponent of agreement who were “traders of sanctions” on Iran at that time, seeking their own interests with the possibility of lifting the sanctions havefound new business and as a result they have been renamed as “post-sanction traders” now.

Although 90 individuals and entities belonging to the Revolutionary Guards have been removed from the list of sanctions, but the process of entering theIRGC’s companies and businesses into the field of international trade, will be a very slow and complicated process. These companies have to wait for at least 8 years to be completely removed from sanction list. Katam Al-anbiya Camp, established in 1989 on the order of the Supreme Leader, is a good sample of these institutes, a large contract with 812 registered companies inside and outside the country.

While these companies are still in the black list of the U.S. sanctions against Tehran, in recent years many Iranian civil and infrastructure projects in significant fields such as energy, construction and telecommunications, with the approval signs of government to “leave the bidding process”, have been granted unconventionally to the Camp and its subsidiaries. These transfers indicate that despite the sanction situation in the country, affiliated companies of the Camp and IRGC, have not seen much financial damage, this event occurred while the current private sector in the economy have faced many fluctuations and even bankruptcy.

In other part of the Reuters report: “A handful will see EU sanctions removed once the nuclear deal is enacted on implementation day, expected within the next year. While others such as Bank Saderat Iran(BSI), accused by Washington of transferring money to groups it deems “terrorist”, such as Hezbollah and Hamas, will have EU sanctions lifted in eight years; but BSI and other companies with same accusation will remain in the U.S. sanction list.” It continues: “Most IRGC entities including the elite Quds Force, will not be de-listed by the EU until the second phase in some eight years. But all will remain then under U.S. sanction for “terrorism support activities” or as “proliferators of weapons of mass destruction”.

“ Any IRGC companies delisted at the implementation stage would be able to “move money through global banks, access the SWIFT financial system, obtain and extend credit” said Mark Dubowitz, executive director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. In the situation that people are optimistically celebrating the nuclear agreement hopingthe agreement will boost business and improve the livelihoods of the economy of Iranian families, many companies of the IRGC which are directly involved in the purchase and production of military equipment will be removed from the sanctions list, lifting of the sanctions could have a negative impact on public optimism in the coming days.It should be mentioned that based on the executive director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ view“Now the Gaurds will be able to lever their dominance in Iran’s economy to serve as a conduit for the new business flowing into Iran, and will likely demand joint ventures, and even seize the contribution of private sector.”

The benefits of the removal of sanctions to IRGC is the main attention part of the U.S. Congress for implementation. A European diplomat said to Reuters, “The Guards turnover has been around 10 to 12 billion dollars in last year.” In deed the Guards that was the most powerful “sanction traders” now will become the “empire of post-sanction trader”. This event can be mentioned as a sign of continued policy of elimination of the mediocre and the private sector during “Ahmadinejad” presidential;the event named as democracy controlling project and free economy, are followed for years in institutions affiliated to the Supreme Leader as the “research institutes”, by the security and military chambers and the planners of the theory implementing “Islamic state” instead of “Islamic Republic”.

Iran Quds chief Qassem Soleimani visited Russia despite U.N. travel ban: Iran official

0

qasemIran Briefing – The head of Iran’s elite military Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani who is subject to a United Nations travel ban, has met senior Russian officials in Moscow, an Iranian official said on Friday.

Qassem Soleimani, chief of the force which is an overseas arm of the Revolutionary Guards, has been subject to an international travel ban and asset freeze by the U.N. Security Council since 2007.

But the Iranian official, who declined to be identified, said Soleimani had made the trip in the second half of July, where he had held talks covering regional and bilateral issues and the delivery to Iran of S-300 surface-to-air missiles and other weapons.

Soleimani had arrived in Moscow on July 24 and met President Vladimir Putin and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu before departing three days later, Fox News reported on Thursday.

A Kremlin spokesman denied any meeting between Soleimani and Putin had taken place, RIA news agency reported.

However, two U.S. security sources told Reuters the United States believed the meeting between Putin and Soleimani took place.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, said all states were obliged to enforce the ban. “These are very concerning reports but we are still tracking down the facts,” she told reporters after a Security Council meeting on Syria.

Both Russia and Iran back Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against rebels in the country’s civil war. Indications of a new diplomatic push to end the war have emerged following last month’s signing of an accord on Iran’s nuclear program between Tehran and world powers.

Diplomats say Russia and Iran are the prime movers behind the latest push following the July 14 nuclear deal.

MOSCOW MEETINGS

One of the U.S. security sources said Soleimani also had numerous other meetings in Moscow in July.

A senior administration official in Washington said U.S. sanctions on Soleimani would remain despite the deal under which Iran agreed to curb its nuclear program in exchange for an easing of sanctions.

“We will maintain sanctions on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Quds Force, its leadership – including Qassem Soleimani — and its entire network,” the official said.

Washington designated the Quds Force as a supporter of terrorism in 2007. The European Union did the same in 2011. U.N. member states are required to deny entry to blacklisted individuals.

Western governments and Israel accuse the Quds Force of arming various militant groups in the Middle East.

Soleimani has been involved in fighting Islamic State in Iraq and his Moscow visit would come at a time when Russia is calling for a regional coalition in the Middle East to fight the Sunni jihadists.

A Russian security expert with close ties to the country’s defense ministry, Igor Korotchenko, could not say whether the visit took place but said Moscow and Tehran were close allies in fighting Islamic State.

“Russia is cooperating with Iranian authorities to stop Islamic State. Any meetings that help these efforts can only be good,” Korotchenko said.

Russia is also readying to supply complex missile systems to Iran.

Anti-Americanism the new weapon of Revolutionary Guards against the nuclear agreement

Anti-Americanism

Iran Briefing- As a political weapon, Anti-Americanism the newest weapon against nuclear agreement that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards has taken as the main opponent of nuclear deal of Iran and the 3+3 countries, to keep its interests and achieve their goals.

Despite using all their power and capacity, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was unable to stop the Iranian nuclear talks; even the support of the Supreme Leader andusing of the name of country and people did not defeat the negotiations, so thatthis organization would continue its activities. As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of America, John Kerry, admitted the loss of nuclear coverage to promote its activity, as an important reasonthe Iranian Revolutionary Guard is taken to oppose the agreement.

Fars News Agency, the news media affiliated with this organization, recently published excerpts from the statements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guardsand other commanders as “a clear and strong position”, military threats, bellicosity and emphasizing on military and defense power, as well as hostility towards the U.S. as the permanent principle of the Islamic Revolution and also the most equipping the Iranian Army is the most important statements expressed by these commanders. However it is a clear sign of the Iranian military’s weakness to exaggerate their military power due to prove and maintain their existence with no other choice, these statements seem to be the reflect ofusing the policy of “anti-Americanism” by the Islamic Republic’s military leaders, with the aim of blaming the U.S. failure of the negotiations process and the nuclear agreement.Enjoying the benefits of sanctions against Iran, oblivious to the interest of the people and the country, the Iranian military forcesin any condition and at any cost try to keep what they have gained over years from the people’s costs.

While every effort is made to bring the country out of the economic and political hardship, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as one of the main supportive of Iran’s nuclear program, causing billions of dollars of losses to the treasury and imposing severe sanctions on the country and the people, made strong opposition against nuclear deal to defeat the agreement so that it would keep its military political and economic power. Knowing the harm of their opposition and bellicosity statements point to the people and the country, indeed the Iranian military leaders stubbornly insist on their objections. Clearly based on its current political situation in the country and control over two-thirds of Iran’s economy, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards is not going to retreat from their positions even if this obstinacy has a bitter ending such as war.

This obvious statement of political excesses and wide human rights violations committed by the military, especially by the powerful organization of the Iranian RevolutionaryGuard, has caused the Europe and Middle East’s stance and opposition to the nuclear deal as they are afraid of the domineeringpro-military Iranian after the agreement and they believe that this agreement and removing the sanctions, will cause more freedom instability in the Middle East.

The Revolutionary Guard’s intervention in Middle East and the tension between Iran and Bahrain

0

gunBahrain’s government condemned the provocative and aggressive stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the aim of sedition and sectarian dissension in Bahrain, for the second time called Iran’s charge d’affaire to remonstrance to the use of the word “oppressed” for its people by “Ali Khamenei”. The Revolutionary Guard’s intervention in Middle East and the tension between Iran and Bahrain

At the same time, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry, also declared the defeat of the operation by militias affiliated with the Iranian government to smuggle high explosives into the country, as well as some guns and ammunition in it. According to the international media, two people were arrested in this operation and one of them, as Bahrain’s government announced, had military training in Iran and had bought boats and weapons fromIran under the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ coordinate. The Revolutionary Guard’s intervention

News reports indicated thatBahrain Coast Guard confiscatedthis cargo in the country’s waters including 44 kilograms of C4 explosive, eight Kalashnikovs and 32 cartridge clips. The same news of illegal arms shipments to Bahrain were published earlier. The head of the Public Security Bureau in Bahrain announced and published by Bahrain’s state news agency on December 2013 that the confiscated weapons and ammunition were consist of “anti-personnel mines, anti-vehicle mines armored, 50Iran-made grenades and 295 shockersmade by Syria.

Tensions between Iran and Bahrain started to get sever along with the event “Arabic Spring” in the Middle East and the start of the unrest and protests against the government of Bahrain. At that time Iran, condemned the crackdown and Bahrain, in return, accused Iran of supporting Shiite dissidents and “clear interference” in the internal affairs.

Less than two weeks ago, a few days after nuclear agreement with Iran, the leader of Islamic Republicin Eid al-Fitr prayers emphasized again onsupporting the oppressed people of Palestine, Bahrain, Syria and Yemen. “We won’t stop supporting our friends in the region, no matter if this context approves or not. The oppressed people of Palestine, the oppressed people of Yemen, the Syrian government and people, the nation and the Iraqi government, the oppressed people of Bahrain, the true resistance fighters in Lebanon and Palestine, [they] will always be under our support. “He said. Khamenei talked about the “oppressed people” in these countries, while if any viewer have followed the Iran’s support news of the regime “of Bashar al-Assad” in Syria or Yemen’s Houthi militants, can easily notice in reality, this support of the “oppressed people” is not a support indeed. The Revolutionary Guard’s intervention

In recent years, Iran’s government has been accused of looking for creating a “Shiite crescent” which Iranian governmentdenied it, although the events in the region and the explicit words of the Supreme Leader and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander, confirmed its authenticity. In the most recent reaction to form the Shiite crescent in the Middle East, on May 8, 2o15, the major-general Mohammad Ali Jafari,Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, mentioned the emerging Shiite crescent with the recent events and said: “Speaking of the development of a Shiite crescent is like a sword that cut down the usurper Israel. Shiite crescent means the sympathetic and unity of the Muslims of the region such as Iran, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon and other strong countries in the region. ” However only oneday after these words of the commander of the army, General Ramazan Sharif, the spokesman of the army, called the strategy of “ Shia phobia” and the scenario of  “Shiite crescent forming” a propaganda anda failed effort which are tricks of the arrogance world in this area ,In fact he deniedJafari’s statement. The Revolutionary Guard’s intervention

While Iran’s government is trying to show another feature of Iran’s interaction and peace with the world, the statements of the Leader of Iran and his under control military commanders’ remarks in support of Yemen’s Houthi militants as well as smuggling weapons cargo discovered in Bahrain could affect the nuclear deal. It also can intensify the hostilities with Iran in the region, something that no doubt will please the region including Israel as well as the Iranian extremist warmonger politicians.
