Iran Regime’s Terrorism and Propaganda Go Hand-in-Hand, and Both Must Be Shut Down
Despite the efforts by the Iranian regime and its apologists, there is a viable alternative to the mullahs’ regime. In the first weeks of 2018, when the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei acknowledged that the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI-MEK), had played a leading role in organizing and facilitating the protests that comprised a nationwide uprising at the start of that year. Khamenei’s remarks, along with his regime’s terrorist attempts against the Iranian Resistance and ongoing campaign of disinformation, confirms MEK’s leading role inside Iran.

US Offers $10 Million Reward for Tips on Hezbollah’s Fiscal Networks
The United States announced on Friday that it will offer a $10 million reward for “information leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms” of the US-designated terrorist group Hezbollah.
The US State Department’s Rewards for Justice program is seeking “information on the activities, networks and associates of Hezbollah that form a part of its financial support, which includes financiers and facilitators like Muhammad Qasir, Muhammad Qasim al-Bazzal and Ali Qasir.”
Muhammad Qasir “is a critical link between Hezbollah and its primary funder, Iran” and has been a significant conduit for financial disbursements from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force (IRGC-QF) to Hezbollah, according to the State Department.
In April 2019, the United States designated the IRGC as a terrorist entity.
He also “directs the Hezbollah unit that assists in the transfer of weapons, technology and other support from Syria to Lebanon,” according to the State Department.

Qasim al-Bazzal is a “key financier for Hezbollah and the IRGC-QF,” and a “co-founder of the Syria-based Talaqi Group and oversees other terrorist financing enterprises, such as Hokoul S.A.L. Offshore and Nagham Al Hayat,” according to the department. “Since late 2018, al-Bazzal has used the Talaqi Group and his other companies to finance, coordinate and obscure various illicit IRGC-QF-linked oil shipments.”
Ali Qasir is “the managing director of the Hezbollah-linked front company Talaqi Group,” where he “assigns maritime vessels to deliver shipments for the terrorist network based on the IRGC-QF’s guidance” and “has overseen sales price negotiations and collaborated to cover expenses and to facilitate an Iranian oil shipment by the Adrian Darya 1 for the benefit of the IRGC-QF.”
The Adrian Darya 1was impounded by the United Kingdom off Gibraltar in July 2019 and released the following month, despite last-minute efforts by the United States to halt its release.
The oil tanker, previously called the Grace 1 and allegedly owned by the IRGC, was reported carrying around 2.1 million barrels of crude oil in September 2019 worth $130 million and switched off its Automatic Identification System, fueling speculation that it was heading towards Syria, which would violate US sanctions against Iran’s energy sector.
US Slaps New Sanctions on Iran Groups

The United States on Thursday slapped new sanctions on five Iranian entities for what it called “brazen attempts” to interfere with the US election.
The Treasury imposed fresh sanctions against the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the IRGC-Quds Force, the Bayan Rasaneh Gostar Institute, the Iranian Islamic Radio, and Television Union, and the International Union of Virtual Media.
Stepping up the pressure after US intelligence pointed the finger at both Iran and Russia, the Treasury Department accused the Iranian groups of seeking to spread disinformation and division ahead of the November 3 vote.
The groups have worked to “sow discord among the voting populace by spreading disinformation online and executing malign influence operations aimed at misleading US voters,” it said.
Bayan Gostar, which the Treasury called an IRGC-Quds Force “front company” for propaganda, took the lead in the activities, it said.

Ahead of the election, “Bayan Gostar personnel have planned to influence the election by exploiting social issues within the United States, including the Covid-19 pandemic, and denigrating US political figures,” it said.”As recently as summer 2020, Bayan Gostar was prepared to execute a series of influence operations directed at the US populace ahead of the presidential election.”The two media groups were part of that operation, it said. The announcement came one day after the US Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe fingered Iran as behind recent emails addressed to US voters threatening them to support President Donald Trump and his Republican Party. The accusations against Iran came after longstanding US concerns about the role of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged favoring Trump in the 2016 election and an investigation by former FBI chief Robert Mueller found evidence that Trump associates cooperated with Moscow, although he said he did not have enough to bring conspiracy charges. Trump has repeatedly voiced anger at the “Russia hoax,” describing it as a way to discredit his election victory.
